All my life, I've had long hair. As in, shoulder-length was short for me. Growing up, this had much to do with the fact that getting a haircut always required negotiations with Dad--ask to get 10 inches cut and maybe he'd allow 4 inches. =) But I'm beginning to realize that longer is not always better, and a new year (calendar and age--so handy that they always coincide) seemed like the perfect time for a new look.

I totally splurged (thanks to that Christmas bonus), went to Chikara this afternoon, and ended up with this result:

It's drastically different from anything I've ever done before, but I'm loving it! So much fun!!!
